The SIRH Community
Calendar provides listings of various community
service activities in Southern Indiana and the
Louisville metropolitan area. Some of these
activities are directly sponsored by SIRH, while
others are sponsored by other organizations and
provided space at SIRH for their activities or
meetings.
SIRH is teaming up with Lifespan Resources to provide
the newest quality entertain-ment and therapeutic
activity at the 2008 Senior Games - with "Toss 'Em" -
otherwise known as Cornhole. A ringer is scored when the
beanbag is projected through a 6½ inch hole that has
been removed from the middle of a plywood sheet. The
plywood or "Pit" is propped up at a 25 degree angle. All
tosses are pitched underhanded at 20 feet from the pit.
Each participant may throw up to 30 bags. To register

- Stroke Support Group
Second Tuesday of each month at 1:00pm
SIRH hosts a monthly Stroke Support group for survivors, family and other interested people.
The group is facilitated by professionals and is designed to be both supportive and educational in nature.

- Brain Injury Support Group
Southern Indiana Rehab is the host of the Southern Indiana Brain Injury Support Group, which is a chapter of the
Brain Injury Association of Indiana. The group is held on the third Thursday of each month at 6:45 p.m. Please contact

Southern Indiana Rehab Hospital (SIRH) provides comprehensive,
high-quality services for adults and children with injury, illness or disability.
Since its inception in 1994, SIRH has continued to operate a 60-bed inpatient facility
that combines traditional physical, occupational and speech therapies with rehab nursing
and advanced technologies to improve an individual's functional abilities.
SIRH is jointly owned and operated in partnership with Frazier Rehab Institute,
Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services, and Clark Memorial Hospital. | | |
