Ergonomics Program

Ergonomics is the science of fitting the task to the worker in order to promote maximum productivity, consistent quality and long-term worker health and safety. Although it is not possible to guarantee the complete elimination of workplace injury, the goal of an ergonomic evaluation is to identify potential risk factors and to recommend possible solutions that reduce the risk of injury to the worker and enhance productivity

Program Goals and Benefits

Assist the employer/employee in creating a work environment that reduces the risk of injury and enhances worker productivity

Provide valuable recommendations for physical changes to the workplace and/or employee behavior modification strategies, which are cost-effective for the organization

Reducing the risk of injury in a cost-effective manner through increasing productivity, quality and employee satisfaction

Assist the employee in meeting requirements imposed by regulatory agencies and insurance companies

Features

The evaluation will be completed by a Certified Ergonomic Evaluation Specialist (CEES).

The CEES identifies problem areas through review of current OSHA logs and input from management/staff.

The CEES conducts a thorough on-site assessment that includes videotaping of the job being performed/evaluated, collecting measurements of the workstation components and other pertinent data relative to the physical environment.

A written report is provided to the employer identifying the risk factors and possible cost-effective solutions to reduce risks to the worker.
