Southern Indiana Rehab Hospital
Southern Indiana Rehab Hospital (SIRH) is a rehabilitation hospital
providing comprehensive, high quality rehab and medical services for adults and children with injury, illness, or disability. This
60-bed inpatient facility combines traditional physical,
occupational and
speech therapies with rehab nursing and advanced technologies to improve
an individual's functional abilities. SIRH provides inpatient,
outpatient
and contract services to residents throughout the southern Indiana and
Louisville, Kentucky metropolitan area.
The hospital features Independence Square, which recreates familiar community
settings such as a grocery, bank, and automobile so patients can re-learn
functional skills for daily tasks such as shopping, banking and getting in
and out of a car.
The hospital is owned by three of the areas most respected
health care leaders, Frazier
Rehab Institute in
Louisville, Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville,
and Floyd Memorial
Hospital and Health Services in New Albany. Frazier Rehab Institute is
the managing partner. Clark Memorial Hospital, and Floyd Memorial Hospital
and Health Services both provide ancillary services for SIRH.
SIRH is licensed by the State of Indiana and is accredited by
the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO)
and the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
Since opening in 1994, SIRH has achieved patient outcomes above the national
norm for similar organizations, and patient satisfaction survey results
consistently exceed national benchmarks.
