About Me
I am a 19 month- old Goldendoodle that has been in training since I was a
puppy. I currently live with my facilitator, Deb Strickler, Certified
Therapeutic Recreation Specialist who takes me to work every day at Southern
Indiana Rehab. Deb and I have been completing weekly classes to learn basic
obedience and socialization commands. As I get older, I will begin learning
advanced commands.
My Purpose
My purpose is to assist people with physical and cognitive disabilities
regain independence. Often times people will do things for me, like tell me
to sit, shake or will brush my coat, before they may do something for
their therapist. Interacting with me does not feel like therapy. Sometimes I
just offer my paw in support of their efforts. Unconditional love and
support is sometimes all that is needed for people to progress. Fortunately
for me, I love all the attention I get from the people I interact with. I
get as much reward from working with patients as the patients get from
working with me. I look forward to going to work everyday.
What I Need
The following are items that I need to stay healthy and ready to work:
Wellness/Whitefish & Sweet Potato Dog Food
Mother Hubbard Treats, baked treats of any kind
Pressed bones, squeaky toys (my favorite), buddies
Sony Color Print Pack DPP-F Series so I can have my picture
taken with patients
Financial support to cover my veterinary check ups and pet insurance
