Southern
Indiana Rehab Hospital is Now Accepting Humana Insurance Plan
New Albany, IN…Southern Indiana Rehab Hospital (SIRH) will be a
participating provider with all Humana insurance plans beginning May
1, 2005. This will allow SIRH to provide quality rehab services to
those enrolled with Humana commercial insurance plans.
This will allow physicians and other providers to have increased
referral options for patients needing rehab services. Humana
patients will have covered benefit access to all inpatient and
outpatient physical, occupational and speech therapies as their
individual plans allow. “We are pleased to welcome participants of
Humana Insurance plans to our facility. We expect this change to
give more options to the residents of Southern Indiana for their
rehab needs,” said Randy Napier, CEO.
Humana insurance participates will also be able to take advantage of
SIRH’s recently completed a significant renovation project, which
began in May 2004. The project expanded the outpatient therapy area
by an additional 3,700 sq. ft. and renovations were done on 4,800
sq. ft. of other areas within the facility.
Other insurance plans accepted by SIRH include Aetna, Anthem,
Sagamore, SIHO and United Healthcare of Kentucky and various others.
Southern Indiana Rehab Hospital (SIRH) is a 60-bed inpatient,
not-for-profit hospital owned in a unique partnership with three of
the area’s most respected health care leaders: Frazier Rehab
Institute, Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services and Clark
Memorial Hospital. Since 1994, SIRH has been providing inpatient and
outpatient physical rehab services to children and adults suffering
from injuries, illnesses and disabilities. SIRH is celebrating its
tenth year of excellence in rehab medicine in 2004, offering quality
health care and rehab services. ###
