New Albany, IN. . . Southern Indiana Rehab Hospital (SIRH) is
hosting a 10-year anniversary open house for the community. This
event will open the doors for everyone to see what SIRH has to
offer. Along with tours of the facility, there will be entertainment
and games for everyone to enjoy.
SIRH recently completed a $1.1 million renovation project, which
began in May 2004. The construction project expanded the outpatient
therapy area with a 3,700 sq. ft. addition and renovated 4,800 sq.
ft. in other areas of within the hospital. The 60-bed inpatient
rehab facility, located at 3104 Blackiston Boulevard in New Albany,
IN, is wrapping up its tenth year anniversary. Since its inception
in 1994, the partners of Frazier Rehab Institute, Floyd Memorial
Hospital and Health Services and Clark Memorial Hospital have
enabled Southern Indiana Rehab Hospital to grow exponentially,
requiring additional space for services.
With the success of the three partners individually, we have seen a
significant growth in the need for rehab services, with a domino
effect to Southern Indiana Rehab Hospital, said Randy Napier,
president/CEO of SIRH. Our outpatient services have grown 200
percent in the past five years, driving the need to expand space in
our outpatient therapy area.
The new addition includes:
- Additional outpatient therapy area
- Additional pediatric therapy space
- Expansion of psychology offices and testing rooms for growing
neuropsychological program
- Boardroom/formal meeting space
- Relocation of staff offices to create more efficiencies of daily
operations
- New waiting area for patients, visitors and family members,
insuring patient privacy and confidentiality
- Private therapy treatment rooms
Arrasmith, Judd, Rapp, Chovan, Inc. were the architects for this
project and the general contractor is Brasch Barry. The Program
Manager is META Associates.
