BridgePointe
Services Goodwill Receives International Excellence Award
CLARKSVILLE, IN –
BridgePointe Services Goodwill was awarded Goodwill Industries
International’s 2007 Stewardship Excellence Award for the Pediatric
Family Support Program. This award recognizes programs that develop
and optimize the use of Goodwill’s resources. According to George W.
Kessinger, President and CEO of Goodwill Industries International,
Inc., “While there were some very competitive nominations for this
award, the judging panel feels confident that the Pediatric Family
Support Program is the exemplary choice as winner of the Stewardship
Excellence Award.”
The Pediatric Family Support Program is a collaborative project by
BridgePointe and the Southern Indiana Rehab Hospital (SIRH). Caren
Marshall, CEO of BridgePointe, stated “We are honored to be
recognized as a model for stewardship excellence. We are proud to
partner with the Southern Indiana Rehab Hospital to offer the
Pediatric Family Support Program. The services provided are a
tremendous assistance to children and families in our community.”
Randy Napier, CEO of SIRH said, “BridgePointe and SIRH have a unique
partnership to provide treatment for children in southern Indiana.
We are thrilled to be recognized for our efforts in providing
physical, occupational, speech and psychological therapies to these
young patients.”
BridgePointe Goodwill offers a variety of services including the
Children’s Academy, a development center and preschool program for
ages six weeks to five years, and Pediatric Family Support Services
that provide consultations, training and resources for children with
Autism, behavioral and special needs. The Career Services program
for adults includes assistance in job seeking skills, job placement
and office skills training. Services at BridgePointe are made
possible by its 11 Goodwill retail stores throughout southern
Indiana, Metro United Way, Indiana Family Social Services Agency,
donors and community funding partners.
SIRH is an acute rehab hospital providing comprehensive, high
quality rehab and medical services for adults and children with
injury, illness, or disability. SIRH provides inpatient, outpatient
and contract services to residents throughout the southern Indiana
and Louisville, Kentucky metropolitan area. The hospital is owned by

Institute, Clark Memorial Hospital, and Floyd Memorial Hospital and
Health Services. SIRH is licensed by the State of Indiana and is
accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare
Organizations and the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation
Facilities.
