Stroke Camp
"Adventure Days"
What is Stroke Camp?
Stroke Camp is a four-day, three night camp for individuals who have
experienced a stroke. Stroke Camp began in 1995 with two main goals.
The first goal is to provide stroke survivors with a chance to
participate in education and leisure activities while socializing
with other stroke survivors. The second goal of Stroke Camp is to
provide the campers’ caregivers with a much-deserved respite.

Camp Activities
Campers will be able to participate in outdoor activities with the
assistance of trained professionals in a structured, accessible
environment. Camp also offers participants a chance to learn more
about stroke recovery and readjustment into leisure activities.
Activities include an accessible hayride, dinner party, a movie
outing, cookout, arts and crafts, fishing, guest speakers and much,
much more!
Who Can Participate?
Any individual who has experienced a stroke and does not require
24-hour supervision can participate in Stroke Camp. Attendance is
limited and will be handled on a first come, first served basis.
Location & Accommodations
Stroke Camp is held each September at Country Lake Christian Retreat
Center in Underwood, IN. The beautiful 200-acre campus includes all
the amenities of camp and a 16-acre lake.
